Sunday, April 6th ~ 1-4pm
Mahakaruna Kadampa Buddhist Center is delighted to be holding a short course on the traditional Buddhist art of torma making. Tormas are traditional offerings custom-made for special events such as empowerments, retreats, and chanted prayers.
Buddhist ritual practices are all designed to help us in our meditation practice. In this modern world we can still rely upon these ancient practices to help us cultivate and maintain a peaceful mind.
The course will be informal, practical and a lot of fun! It is suitable for everyone, whether you are an experienced practitioner or a complete beginner. EVERYONE WELCOME!
Diane Cadman from KMC-NYC will lead this hands-on workshop, teaching this beautiful art.
Cost: $20/person (all supplies included).
